{"id":22,"date":"2015-08-05T21:51:28","date_gmt":"2015-08-06T01:51:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hostedpools.com\/pickology\/?page_id=22"},"modified":"2018-07-31T13:46:41","modified_gmt":"2018-07-31T17:46:41","slug":"loser-football-pool","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/hostedpools.com\/pickology\/office-pool-types\/loser-football-pool\/","title":{"rendered":"Loser Football Pool on Hosted Pools"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Loser Football Pool is hands down our favourite football pool at HostedPools.com.\u00a0\u00a0 It&#8217;s actually the pool that started it all, as we were setting one up and were unable to find any sites that had this format. \u00a0As far as I know, we&#8217;re still the only one offering it.<\/p>\n<p>The Loser Pool is a very unique format, and is a great change for people bored of the same old pick&#8217;em type pool. \u00a0It&#8217;s a great challenge for even the best of cappers.<\/p>\n<h2>Loser\u00a0Football Pool\u00a0Basics<\/h2>\n<p>Every NFL team is assigned a point value for the season, which is the first round draft order for simplicity&#8217;s sake. \u00a0The defending champion is worth 32 points, while the team with the worst record, earning the first overall pick is only worth 1 point.<\/p>\n<p>For each week of the NFL season, including playoffs, you pick a team to lose their\u00a0game. \u00a0If they lose, you add the point value of that team to your\u00a0running total for the season. \u00a0If they win or the game ends in a tie, you get no points for that week. \u00a0There is no restriction to the number of times an entry\u00a0may select a team. \u00a0At the end of the season, the highest score wins.<\/p>\n<p>On HostedPools, our deadlines are always at 1 pm (Eastern) on Sundays, but we allow you to select a team from an earlier game\u00a0as long as your pick is in prior to the listed game time.<\/p>\n<h2>Loser\u00a0Football Pool Options<\/h2>\n<h3>Default Picks<\/h3>\n<p>Set up one of our default pick options, so when someone forgets, or is unable to make a pick, they still end up with a selection according to the default pick criteria.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"mb-button mb-style-raised mb-size-default mb-corners-default mb-text-style-default \" style=\"background-color: #3377bb;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hostedpools.com\/createpool.php?lt=lfb\">\u00a0<i class=\"fa fa-trophy\"><\/i>\u00a0 Set Up Your Loser Football Pool<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Loser Football Pool is hands down our favourite football pool at HostedPools.com.\u00a0\u00a0 It&#8217;s actually the pool that started it all, as we were setting one up and were unable to find any sites that had this format. \u00a0As far as I know, we&#8217;re still the only one offering it.
