Account

Each user has to create their own personal login and password. The pool login and password sent to you are used to 'Join a Pool' once you have registered your own account on the site.
Unfortunately, we can not, since passwords are stored in our database in a way to make them unreadable. On a failed login, the 'Forgot Password' button will appear, which you can use to have a new temporary password to the email we have on file. You can use this temporary password to log in and change it to something you will remember.

Entries

The link isn't available unless you've created an entry in the pool. Once you have an entry set up it will show up in the league menu.
Yes. You can create multiple entries in the same pool under one account. There is no limit to the number of entries an account can in a pool.
Generally when this happens, you have created multiple accounts to access the site and haven't logged in with the one that has the entry. Your pool manager has access to a list of all entries and associated usernames so they can verify you're using the correct account.
You can from the Entries page, as long as the deadline has not passed, and no picks have been made for the entry. If you've made picks, you will have to go through your pool manager.

Picks

Yes, as long as you've made your selection prior to the listed kick-off time on Hosted Pools. Any entry with a team playing on Thursday will have their pick locked at the listed kick off time.
We offer a few different options for football only (we've recently added hockey, but the options are more limited). You can set your pool to No Defaults, Best Available, Worst Available, Alphabetical and Random (We've also recently added Vs Best Available and Vs Worst Available). Best Available and Worst Available are based on the previous season's draft order. All defaults should be set within 5 minutes after the deadline has passed.
No. Our policy is to not make any picks unless there was a verifiable site issue that prevented it. In pools without Manager Lockout, your manager may be able to assist you.

Scoring

Pricing/Payment

The total fee for your pool will depend on the size and type of pool you run. Use our pricing tool to figure out how much your pool will cost. All prices are in Canadian dollars.
You can pay by PayPal (which handles Credit Cards) or via EMT (if you're in Canada). PayPal receipts will come from HOSTEDPOOLS.COM. All payment information, including cost, will be displayed when you choose to Cut Off Entries from the Pool Admin dashboard.
Once all of your entries are in, you Cut Off Entries for your pool from the Pool Admin dashboard. When you do that, your pool fee will be calculated (and any valid coupon code will be applied). You can then make payment for your pool. We close all pools a few days after their deadline, and payment is required within a week of that date.
If the same commissioner sets up multiple pools in one NHL or NFL season (e.g. a 2nd half pool), there will be a discount on the second pool, provided there aren't a significantly greater number of entries. If this applies to you, send us a message, and we will apply a coupon code for you.

  • Dec 15, 2024 - It appears we're having a deliverability issue with icloud.com email addresses. A decent number of bounces have happened on emails to those accounts over the past month. Please whitelist hostedpools.com or use a different email if you have an email block on your account. We don't want to send to an email service that's rejecting them anyway.

  • Oct 11, 2024 - Hockey Pools - The Carolina/Tampa game schedule for Sat., Oct 12th has been moved out of the schedule for the week. If you had selected that game, please make another selection.
