Account

Each user has to create their own personal login and password. The pool login and password sent to you are used to 'Join a Pool' once you have registered your own account on the site.
Unfortunately, we can not, since passwords are stored in our database in a way to make them unreadable. On a failed login, the 'Forgot Password' button will appear, which you can use to have a new temporary password to the email we have on file. You can use this temporary password to log in and change it to something you will remember.

Entries

The link isn't available unless you've created an entry in the pool. Once you have an entry set up it will show up in the league menu.
Yes. You can create multiple entries in the same pool under one account. There is no limit to the number of entries an account can in a pool.
Generally when this happens, you have created multiple accounts to access the site and haven't logged in with the one that has the entry. Your pool manager has access to a list of all entries and associated usernames so they can verify you're using the correct account.

Picks

Yes, as long as you've made your selection prior to the listed kick-off time on Hosted Pools. Any entry with a team playing on Thursday will have their pick locked at the listed kick off time.

Scoring

To make it fair for everyone, we don't update pools between the Thursday game and the Sunday deadline, so it will not affect other people's selections.
We offer a few different options for football only. You can set your pool to No Defaults, Best Available, Worst Available, Alphabetical and Random (We've also recently added Vs Best Available and Vs Worst Available). Best Available and Worst Available are based on the previous season's draft order. All defaults are set roughly 5 minutes after the deadline has passed.

Pricing/Payment

The total fee for your pool will depend on the size and type of pool you run. Use our pricing tool to figure out how much your pool will cost. All prices are in Canadian dollars.
You can pay by PayPal (which handles Credit Cards) or via EMT (if you're in Canada). PayPal receipts will come from HOSTEDPOOLS.COM. All payment information, including cost, will be displayed when you close/lock your pool entries.
Once all of your entries are in, you close/lock your pool to new entries. When you do that, your pool fee will be calculated (and any coupon code will be applied). You can then make payment for your pool. We close all pools within 10 days of their deadline, and payment is required within 10 days of that date.
If the same commissioner sets up multiple pools in one NHL season (e.g. a 2nd half pool), there will be a discount on the second pool, provided there aren't a significantly greater number of entries. If this applies to you, send us a message, and we will arrange something for you.

  • Nov 11, 2018 - NFL Pools - Week 11 has had 3 games moved due to flex scheduling, as the Steelers/Jags game was bumped out of the Sunday night slot for Vikings/Bears.
  • Nov 5, 2018 - Fundraising pools that are tracking entries by fundraiser - you can now assign one after an entry has been set up by editing the entry (blue button) from the entries page.
  • Oct 27, 2018 - Survivor Hockey Pools can now be set to Saturday games only.
  • Oct 13, 2018 - Text/SMS Reminders - You should now be able to add your mobile phone number to your account in order to receive text notifications. You will only receive a text notification if you have a number on your account and have selected to receive reminders for any pool you're still active in. We may add the ability to specify only text or only email pick reminders in the coming weeks.
