NHL Survivor Hockey Pools

The Survivor Hockey Pool is basically the same idea as Survivor Football pools, except picking consistent winners in hockey is a little tougher than it is in football. As a result we advocate allowing multiple strikes/lives and/or running multiple pools in a season. Our Survivor Hockey pools are all based on the weekend (Sat-Sun) schedule, so you could potentially pick a team against different opponents if they play both days.

The Survivor Hockey Pool is sometimes called an Eliminator, Knockout or Suicide Pool. Our Loser Hockey (Saturday) pools are also a type of Survivor Pool.

How to Play

  1. Entrants pick one team each weekend of the NHL regular season with the intention of the selection winning.
  2. If the team selected wins, the entry survives to the following week.
  3. If the team selected loses, the entry is eliminated from the pool.
  4. If all remaining teams lose during a week, they all move on to the next week.
  5. The final surviving entry is the winner, unless there are multiple teams alive after the final week of the season.
  6. Teams may only be selected one time for the duration of the pool.

Options

Strikes/Lives - Allow entrants more than one 'loss' or 'strike' prior to them being eliminated.

Pick Limits - Allow entries the ability to select a team more than one time for the duration of the pool.

Start Week - Want to start a 2nd chance pool? Start a pool some time after the first weekend of the season.

Survivor Hockey Pools will be available on 2023/08/23 09:00am.
